Greetings Brothers and Sisters,

I am writing to inform you about County of Marin's new political stunt to deceive Marin residents, especially residents of color, by promoting its newly established RACE EQUITY PLANNING COMMITTEE.

After more than six (6) years since the inception of County of Marin's Race Equity Plan Initiative, the Board of Supervisors and leaders of its County Administrators Office, have decided to 'PLAN' again on what they have repeatedly been planning for, for several years. Below is the most recent iteration of the PLAN

Many residents and county employees have grown increasingly frustrated about the lack of ACTION AND ACCOUNTABILITY in the development of this PLAN. If you are interested in volunteering your precious time, skills and energy, as the flyer states below, just know what you will be actually signing up for.

If you are interested in volunteering in a more impactful, meaningful and productive way, consider the partial list of volunteer-driven grassroots organizations and resources that are actually doing EQUITY and RACIAL JUSTICE work.

Marin Anti-Racist Coalition--@marinantiracistcoaliton (instagram)
ICE Out of Marin--iceoutofmarin.org

A Marin County-wide coalition of racial justice grassroots organizations are planning to host a convention early next year that will build  on existing and new solutions to combat racism in Marin County in a coordinated and unified voice. If you are interested in getting involved in the planning of this first-ever county-wide convention, please go to https://www.google.com/url?q=http://marinequitycoalition.org&source=gmail&ust=1602996853774000&usg=AFQjCNEWYclX4NCQ7tGnr3NMaWclW-xY7w">marinequitycoalition.org. and request to be placed added on the information distribution list. This bottom-up, grassroots volunteer-driven and led effort will unveil a racial justice agenda and solutions for Marin County, the most racially inequitable county in California.
